Disruption is where the defender will create an attack using disruptive techniques like round house kicks, foot thrust or jabs. The defender will use these strikes to minimize the enemy from closing the gap or distance. It will prevent the attacker from getting a good chance of attacking them.

The parries are where the defender will simply use the opponents strength to their advantage. They will just change the direction of a fist or a kick or even a knee and knock them out of balance. The parry will literally change the course of attach from an attacker and the defender will make it miss the target.
